Important: 3CX V18 Support Changes

3CX update after release of V20

1 September 2024, marked the deadline for upgrading Hosted by 3CX systems to V20. If you’re still running 3CX on V18, support for your Hosted by 3CX instance has already been stopped. This means:

  1. Your system is no longer being monitored
  2. Nightly backups have stopped
  3. No further security patches will be issued

Any backups restored on these systems will automatically upgrade to V20.

After 15 October 2024, important changes will impact the way we provide technical support for 3CX V18:

  1. For 4SC and 8SC subscriptions, technical support will no longer be free.
  2. Level 3 support will no longer be available for any V18 licenses, regardless of subscription size.

By the end of 2024, 3CX V18 will reach End of Life (EOL). We recommend therefore upgrading to 3CX V20 providing improved security, new features such as AI-powered call transcription, a new Windows softphone, API and more.

Important: Systems on V18 without a system owner, must assign one before upgrading to V20. Upgrading to V20 without a system owner will cause major issues which require support from 3CX.
